&lt;em&gt;Technology transfer happens when two conditions are fulfilled: First, the existence of a genuine economic interest and secondly that the right conditions for legal protection exist. The first point depends of the actors of technology transfer themselves, and the precondition for along-term effective collaboration is trust. What is needed is a cultural attitude towards knowledge sharing: Identification of the goals, building genuine shared interest.&lt;/em&gt;
